Bank of Khartoum Ensures Smooth Currency Exchange Process
Sudan Events – Reports
The Khartoum Bank branch in Shendi announced the successful launch of its field operations to assist institutions in opening bank accounts for employees and simplifying procedures. This move aligns with the Central Bank of Sudan’s currency exchange campaign, especially following recent government decisions to shift public sector salaries to banking systems.
Hassan Al-Hafian, the manager of the Shendi branch, confirmed the seamless progress of the currency exchange operations without complications, attributing this to prior arrangements and robust security measures by the local committee.
He highlighted the recruitment of 15 additional staff members to extend working hours during this critical period, which concludes on December 23. Efforts are also underway to acquire counterfeit detection devices to ensure operational integrity.
