Director of Mineral Resources Criticizes National Companies Moving Investments Abroad
Sudan Events – Reports
Mohamed Taher Omar, the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, criticized national companies that have shifted their investments abroad rather than pursuing activities within Sudan during this crucial period.
He pledged to provide more support to national companies and to overcome any obstacles they face.
Taher revealed that the company has developed an ambitious plan for the year 2025, focusing on increasing production, achieving stability, and addressing violations in the mining sector.
During the launch of the aid convoy for displaced people and the environmental sanitation campaign in the River Nile state on Monday, he praised national mining companies for their dedication, particularly those that continued operations amid the war and contributed significantly to production. He acknowledged the importance of these companies in the development and success of Sudan’s mining sector.
He commended the efforts of the River Nile state government, which now accounts for 50% of Sudan’s total production, and promised a major leap forward in the mining sector in the coming year, which will positively impact the national economy.
