The Vice President of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar, approved the proposal from the Technical Committee for the Sudanese Certificate Examinations to establish two exam centers in the localities of Managil and Al-Qurashi in Al-Jazeera State.
During a meeting on Tuesday in Port Sudan with Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, the Commissioner of the Federal Ministry of Education, and Dr. Kamal El-Din Awad, the Minister of Education for Al-Jazeera State, he emphasized the importance of these centers due to the large number of students coming from different localities within the state and other states controlled by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.
The Commissioner explained that the meeting discussed all arrangements for the upcoming Sudanese Certificate Examinations, particularly in Al-Jazeera State, and confirmed that the localities of Managil and Al-Qurashi would host the exam centers.
Dr. Ahmed added that the Vice President of the Sovereign Council directed that all obstacles be removed, and arrangements should be made to ensure the smooth execution of the examinations, including transportation and securing the necessary budget.
The Ministry is ready to receive students for the exams in the Managil and Al-Qurashi localities and has called on families to prepare for this important event and send their children to sit for the exams. The Ministry hopes that the exams will be held in all localities of Al-Jazeera State after they are cleared of militia influence.
The Commissioner praised the significant efforts and attention given by the Vice President of the Sovereign Council to ensure the exams proceed as planned, especially in the states affected by militia atrocities.
The Minister of Education for Al-Jazeera State also confirmed the readiness of the Managil and Al-Qurashi localities for the Sudanese Certificate Examinations, stressing the Vice President’s clear interest in establishing exam centers in Al-Jazeera State due to their importance, and he committed to removing any challenges in the process.
