Launch of the First Port Sudan Shopping Festival

The head of the organizing committee for the First Port Sudan Shopping Festival and the General Manager of CBL Company, Al-Bara Mohammed Osman, announced the participation of 23 national companies in the festival, which will take place from December 31 to January 4, 2025.

Al-Bara said in a press conference on Thursday that the festival will offer essential goods at discounted prices accessible to the public, adding that agreements have been made with participating companies to sell goods at factory prices during the event.

Osman confirmed that the company, in coordination with the relevant authorities, has taken all necessary security measures to ensure the safety of the public and the success of the festival, which will be hosted at the Golden Gate Hall on the eastern bank of Port Sudan, the administrative capital.

He also pointed out that the concept of the festival will be extended to other states later. The events and entertainment program will be carefully planned, considering the war circumstances in the country and providing support and awareness for the Armed Forces in their fight for dignity.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Tourism and Investment in the Red Sea State, Samia Oshik, mentioned that the tourism festival in the Red Sea State, which started several years ago, will continue. She noted that in February, the Port Sudan Shopping Festival will take place in coordination with the Sudanese Free Markets Company. She also highlighted that New Year’s Eve celebrations in Port Sudan usually take place on the main corniche, and the launch of the First Port Sudan Shopping Festival will help reduce congestion and attract a significant number of people to the eastern bank.
