Sudan Events – Follow-up
The Head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, reviewed the Ministry of Culture and Information’s plan for the development and modernization of cultural and media institutions.
This took place during a meeting with the Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid Al-Aisr, at his office on Thursday.
Al-Aisr explained in a press statement that the meeting discussed several issues related to culture and media, as well as the development of media institutions that were affected by the war, along with cultural and tourism files. He noted that the Sovereign Council’s Head promised to enhance and develop these institutions. The Minister also conveyed the concerns and issues of journalists and the current state of the press in the country.
He added that his ministry is in the process of developing established media institutions and creating new media platforms that align with technological developments and contribute to supporting the armed forces and the Sudanese people in their existential battle.
The Minister concluded by saying that this meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to improve and modernize media institutions, which will undergo development and modernization in line with contemporary needs. He urged youth working in these fields to cooperate to implement these new projects.
