At least four people were killed, and six others injured on Tuesday in renewed artillery shelling by the RSF militia on the Nevasha Camp market and Abu Shouk neighborhood in Al-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur State.
Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that the militia continued its shelling, resulting in fatalities and injuries, including the wounding of five worshippers when shells struck a mosque in Abu Shouk neighborhood. The injured were transferred to a local health center for treatment.
In related news, the Emergency Committee of Abu Shouk Camp for Displaced Persons reported additional civilian casualties from the artillery attack targeting the camp and nearby residential areas.
In a press statement, the committee condemned the shelling of civilians and civilian infrastructure, describing it as an inhumane act and a blatant violation of human rights and international laws and norms.
