Decision from Bank of Khartoum after the Liberation of Wad Medani

The Executive Director of the Bank of Khartoum Group and its staff sent a congratulatory message to the Sudanese people, especially the citizens of Gezira State, for the liberation of Wad Medani, the capital of the state, from the rebel militia and its return to the nation’s protection.

He stated that the return of peace to Wad Medani and all cities and regions of the state would allow the return of millions of citizens who had suffered from internal displacement and seeking refuge in neighboring countries, losing their most precious possessions.

He added, “The celebrations by the Sudanese people inside and outside the country reflected their solidarity with the armed forces in cleansing all areas that had been invaded by the Rapid Support Forces and displaced their residents.”

Bank of Khartoum renewed its commitment to providing its developed services in all safe areas and reopening its branches that were closed, especially in Wad Medani and other cities in the state. The bank confirmed that it would continue to stand with the people in both their joys and sorrows, always at their service.
