Sources: Putin to Demand Ukraine Never Joins NATO in Talks with Trump
Informed sources have revealed that Russia will demand Ukraine significantly reduce its military ties with NATO and adopt a neutral status with a limited army in any negotiations with incoming U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to Bloomberg, citing anonymous Kremlin insiders, Russian President Vladimir Putin, increasingly confident about his advantage on the Ukrainian battlefield, is determined to achieve his goal of ensuring Kyiv never joins NATO and placing limits on its military capabilities.
One source familiar with Moscow’s preparations for potential talks stated that the Kremlin’s position is that while NATO member states may continue supplying weapons to Ukraine under bilateral agreements, such weapons should not be used against Russia or to reclaim territories under Russian control.
