Directives to Supply Fuel for Water Stations and Bakeries in Wad Madani

Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Acting Director General of the Ministry of Finance in Al-Jazira State, Atef Muhammad Ibrahim Abu Shawk, instructed the Petroleum Administration to supply fuel to water stations and bakeries in Wad Madani. He also directed the provision of gas to residents of Wad Madani, ensuring direct distribution to the targeted entities through tanker supervision by security and intelligence agencies until the restoration of looted and damaged depots and service stations.
The minister inspected the ministry’s departments in Wad Madani, including the Civil Service Bureau, the Accounts Bureau, and the Financial and Administrative Affairs buildings, to assess the extent of destruction and looting inflicted on the premises by the Rapid Support Forces’ assault on government buildings and civilian facilities in the capital of Al-Jazira State, Wad Madani.
Abu Shawk assured the safety of financial documents, stating that all revenue, expenditure, accounting records, and employee files were found intact, secured in locked cabinets. He added that the destruction witnessed in Wad Madani reflects the militia’s deliberate intent to destroy infrastructure and public service facilities, demonstrating blatant violations of laws and norms.
He confirmed that the ministry departments have already begun cleaning and preparing the work environment to facilitate the return of employees and the resumption of services for citizens.
