Member of the Sovereign Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Major General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, pledged to facilitate the work of relief teams and staff of organizations working in humanitarian fields, especially in health, to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need.
During his meeting at his office with the delegation from the Italian Emergency Organization led by Rosella Mishu, he affirmed the Sudanese government’s commitment to overcoming all obstacles facing the work of relief teams, particularly regarding the issuance of entry visas for humanitarian workers from international and regional organizations.
The Member of the Sovereign Council was briefed on the progress of work at the Italian Peace Hospitals for Heart in Soba, Kassala, and Gadaref, as well as the organization’s medical programs under the current circumstances concerning providing humanitarian and medical needs for patients. He appreciated the roles that foreign medical staff have continued to play during the war.
