Red Sea State Receives Power Generators for Water Wells

The Red Sea State received power generators for water wells as part of the support provided by the Norwegian government, in the presence of the Governor of Red Sea State, Major General Mustafa Mohamed Noor, the Director of the Water Authority, Omar Issa, and the Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program office in the state, Mohamed Khair.

The governor expressed his gratitude to the Norwegian government for their valued support, which includes 13 generators with a capacity of 33 megawatts, and the installation of 20 solar-powered submersible pumps at the Mogha Dam in Port Sudan, which will significantly contribute to stabilizing the water supply.

On his part, the Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program office in the state explained that this support comes as part of the Sustainable Peace Transition and Social Cohesion project. He expressed his appreciation to the Red Sea government for the joint coordination and overcoming the obstacles faced by the project, commending the efforts of the Kingdom of Norway in this regard.
