South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, urged his citizens to remain calm and exercise restraint in light of attacks on a Sudanese diplomat and several Sudanese nationals in Juba, following reports of the killing of South Sudanese citizens in the state of Al-Jazeera.
In a statement received by Sudan Tribune, the press secretary of the President of South Sudan, Lily Martin Maniil, urged citizens to exercise restraint, stressing, on behalf of Salva Kiir, the importance of refraining from any acts of retaliation.
