Efforts to Ensure the Success of the Agricultural Season in Northern Sudan

The regional director of Bank of Khartoum in the Northern state, Khalid Faqir Saleh, the manager of the Dongola branch, Atef Al-Haj, and the general manager of Irada Microfinance Company, Zahya Abidin, conducted field visits to the agricultural projects funded by the company in the Selim agricultural area.
They reviewed the progress of the agricultural season, ensured the smooth flow of production inputs, and confirmed that the agricultural season was free from pests.
Zahya Abidin explained that the areas funded by the company in the Selim region are estimated to cover 1,000 acres, with a financing cost of 1.3 billion Sudanese pounds.
She added that these areas include wheat and fava beans, and the company, which is one of the arms of the bank, is ready to finance plant and animal production projects with amounts reaching 6 million pounds for each project, as well as 6 million pounds for industrial projects, 2 million pounds for craft projects, and 1 million pounds for service and commercial projects.
She confirmed that the funding is available for individuals and solidarity groups, and the financing includes energy along with production inputs through contracting and profit-sharing methods. She praised the commitment of the agricultural projects to the technical packages specified by agricultural research to ensure the success of the season.
