A military source in River Nile State, northern Sudan, revealed to Sudan Tribune that the attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) on the state amounted to 74 sorties during the past period.
The military source confirmed, according to Sudan Tribune, that most of those drones were shot down, noting that their number was estimated based on radar and sensor tracking devices deployed throughout the state.
He added that another number of drones – though unspecified – fell on the state’s borders after jamming devices successfully depleted their batteries, causing them to crash. These drones were not officially counted.
