Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The Chief of Staff, General Mohammed Othman Al-Hussein, stated that the gathering of numerous armies at the General Command Headquarters was made in honor of the martyrs, considering it a new chapter in the history of the Sudanese people.

In his first speech after breaking the siege of the General Command, Al-Hussein emphasized that they are celebrating the victories of the army today, describing the victories in the month of Rajab as blessed and a great opening for both the army and the Sudanese people. He stated that the gathering of forces from Bahri, Wadi Sidna, and Omdurman was achieved through the sacrifices of martyrs who protected the General Command and gave their lives for its symbolic importance to the Sudanese army.

The Chief of Staff confirmed that breaking the siege of the General Command marks the beginning of a new history for the Sudanese Armed Forces, following the first hundred years of the army, and a new history for the Sudanese people.
He congratulated the officers and soldiers present at the General Command, stating, “We thank those who persevered and sent waves of martyrs within the command,” adding, “Thousands of officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers were buried inside the General Command.”

He clarified that the victory is an incentive to move forward and purify every inch of Sudan’s land, and vowed to the leadership of the army, the state, and the Sudanese people, saying: “We will not retreat (from the war) until we purify every inch from the defilement of the Rapid Support Forces militia.”

The Chief of Staff expressed his full confidence in the Armed Forces and the supporting forces to completely cleanse Sudan in the near future.
