Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the continued atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias, targeting unarmed civilians after their repeated defeats in military confrontations with the army and its allied forces. The Ministry also held the international community responsible for the ongoing massacres carried out by the Janjaweed.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry condemned the horrific terrorist crime committed by the Janjaweed militia in the Sabreen market. The Ministry said, “It is clear that the targeting of the market was deliberate, aimed at causing the highest possible number of civilian casualties.” The statement further said, “The Security Council and Western powers bear responsibility for the militia’s continued massacres, as they limit themselves to verbal condemnations while turning a blind eye to the militia’s regional backers, who supply it with long-range artillery and strategic drones to carry out these atrocities.”
