The Ministry of Finance Emphasizes the Importance of Electronic Collection and Payment for Improving Government Sector Performance

The Technical Committee of the Electronic Payment Emergency Room at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning has stressed the importance of enhancing financial and accounting performance in the government sector by utilizing electronic collection and payment systems and modern technologies. This approach aims to save time and effort while promoting transparency and efficiency. The committee also highlighted the need for continuous efforts to stabilize banking applications and address technical issues in this field.

During an informational meeting with financial directors and accountants, chaired by Abdel Mohsen, Deputy Director General of the Accounting Bureau and member of the Technical Committee, a comprehensive explanation of the electronic collection and payment system was provided. The discussion covered its benefits, usage, and influential variables. The session also included feedback from directors and a review of experiences from units that have already implemented the system.

The meeting was attended by 73 financial directors and accountants from various ministries and government units operating in Port Sudan.
