Destruction of 18 Tons of Spoiled Goods in Northern State

The Standards and Metrology Office in Karima, Northern State, in cooperation with relevant authorities, conducted a large-scale campaign that resulted in the destruction of 18 tons of expired and spoiled food products. The destroyed goods included various consumer items, as well as six large barrels of raw glycerin and other assorted materials.
The destruction process was supervised by the sector director, Abdul Azim Ismail Harika, and the director of the Standards and Metrology Office in Karima, Al-Hadi Ibrahim Saeed. It was also directly monitored by the executive director of the Karima unit, Omar Al-Sheikh, the head of the Karima Prosecution Office, Judge Jaafar Mohamed Abdel Rahman, the head of Karima Police Department, Major Mazen Atta Abdel Hamid, the health officer in Karima, Dr. Hukmat Abdel Hafiz, the representative of economic security, Atef Adam, and health inspector, Mahasen Abdel Majid.
The executive director of the Karima unit praised the crucial role played by the Standards and Metrology Office in protecting consumers and the national economy. He emphasized that the office serves as a cornerstone in quality control and raising public awareness about the dangers of non-compliant goods. He also commended the efforts of the local inspection team led by Abdullah Mohamed Saad for their work in combating violations and regulating markets.
For his part, the director of the Standards and Metrology Office in Karima, Al-Hadi Ibrahim, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the committee overseeing the destruction process. He affirmed the continuation of inspection campaigns to ensure markets remain free of spoiled goods and to protect consumer health.
