18 Killed, Including Children, in Militia Attacks in Bara

Doctors and local sources reported on Sunday that at least 18 people, including children, were killed and others wounded in attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia near the town of Bara, in North Kordofan State.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) had previously stated in a report that 3,260 families were displaced from the villages of Umm Qirfa, Al-Markha, and Umm Trakeish, all located within Bara locality, due to escalating insecurity.

A statement issued by the Sudan Doctors Network revealed that the RSF militia committed a heinous crime in the Shaq Al-Nawm area in North Kordofan, resulting in the killing of 11 civilians.

The statement added that the dead included three children, while 31 others were injured—nine of them women, some of whom were pregnant.
