Transitional Sovereign Council members, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber and Salma Abdeljabbar Al-Mubarak, along with Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, reviewed the developmental and security situation in Nile River State.

At the Guest Palace in Al-Damer, the state’s governor, Dr. Mohamed Al-Badawi Al-Majid, presented a report on the state’s security conditions and the measures taken in this regard. The briefing was held in the presence of the Artillery Corps Commander, Major General Mohamed Al-Amin, Intelligence Service Chief, Major General Yasser Al-Bashir, and the Secretary-General of the Government, Othman Mohamed Othman.

The governor briefed the high-level delegation visiting the state on Friday about the significant progress the state has made in agriculture, industry, mining, and investment.

He explained that the state had absorbed dozens of factories relocated from Khartoum, now operating in the cities of Shendi, Al-Damer, Atbara, and Berber, with their products distributed across all of Sudan.

The governor praised the Armed Forces for their victories across various battlefronts and their efforts to cleanse areas defiled by the rebellion.

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris commended the substantial efforts of the Nile River State Government in advancing development, investment, and services for citizens.

Nile River State is the first Sudanese state outside the administrative capital of Port Sudan to be visited by the Prime Minister since assuming office.
