The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the heroes of the armed forces, joint forces, and the popular resistance in the city of El Fasher following the major victory achieved on Monday in battle number (223) against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Minawi stated:
“El Fasher is writing a new history. The sons of El Fasher have achieved a great victory over the Janjaweed militia, and as usual, we congratulate you on this great accomplishment.”
He affirmed that El Fasher, the steadfast city, had paid a high price in facing challenges, but remained firm and unyielding thanks to the courage of its men.
He added:
“We will not rest until we reach the heroes of our armed forces, joint forces, and popular resistance in the lion’s den—El Fasher Sultan. This great city has endured much pain and sorrow, yet it stood firm thanks to its brave men who vowed not to retreat from defending and preserving the dignity of our homeland.”
Minawi concluded his post with a message of moral support, saying:
“One army, one people… El Fasher is defiant and the graveyard of the Janjaweed.”
