British MP: UAE Supplied Militia with Advanced Chinese Weapons

British Member of Parliament Kate Osamor has called on the UK government to exert diplomatic pressure on the United Arab Emirates, following credible allegations that the UAE supplied the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia with advanced Chinese-made weaponry — in blatant violation of the UN arms embargo.

Speaking during a parliamentary session titled “The Humanitarian Situation in Sudan” on Tuesday, Osamor specifically named weapons such as GP50A guided bombs and AH4 howitzers, which were previously exported exclusively to the UAE. These weapons have reportedly been observed in use in both Khartoum and Darfur.

Osamor affirmed that such violations constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, and she urged the British government to take decisive action, including supporting international justice mechanisms and ensuring accountability.

In a powerful intervention during the session, Osamor highlighted the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe in Sudan, drawing attention to atrocities committed by the rebel RSF militia — including massacres, forced displacement, and systematic sexual violence — and explicitly pointed to the UAE’s involvement.
