Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

The Sudanese Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) has issued a strong warning to a number of foreign organizations operating in country that failed to abide by the stipulations of signed agreements. The Commission summoned, at its headquarters in Wad Medani, capital of the state of Gezira, representatives of several international organizations that did not observe the procedures prescribed and governing their movements and operations.
The commission said the said organizations failed to secure permission from the Commission and the competent authorities, and that they were found in breach of employment of foreign residents in the Sudan whose have not renewed their residents permits.
The organizations summoned by the commission included: The Danish Refugee Council – International Migration Organization – French ACTED – Belgium Doctors Without Borders and Italian Emergency.
