Distribution of Horticultural Seeds Begins in Al-Dinder

The Popular Organization for Reconstruction and Development has begun distributing horticultural seeds in Al-Dinder locality, as part of its efforts to boost agricultural production and improve farmers’ livelihoods.
The initiative was launched during a meeting between locality executive director Al-Daw Ahmed Yaqoub and the organisation’s delegation, led by Dr. Omar Habib Allah, in the presence of the locality’s Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Shams Al-Din Ahmed, Administrative Officer Al-Rashid Al-Taher, head of the Humanitarian Assistance Committee, and locality agricultural director Ali Hajo.
The executive director affirmed the locality’s commitment to providing all necessary facilitation to enhance the work of humanitarian organisations and donors to ensure aid reaches targeted communities. He expressed hope the project would achieve its goals of raising productivity and improving living standards, urging an expansion of services—especially solar energy projects to support production and the local economy.
The organisation’s head said the initiative targets 14 agricultural associations, each receiving seeds for various horticultural crops as part of an integrated agricultural extension programme. He confirmed services will continue in subsequent phases.
The locality’s Humanitarian Aid Commissioner praised the organisation’s interventions, especially in the agricultural sector, pledging support for its work and calling for broader investment in alternative energy projects to boost production.
