Militia Suffers New Losses in El-Fasher

The Sixth Infantry Division in El-Fasher announced it had repelled a fresh attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment before the remaining fighters fled, abandoning their dead on the battlefield.

The division said the army thwarted the RSF’s offensive on El-Fasher, forcing the militia to retreat after losing dozens of fighters killed and wounded, in addition to the destruction of vehicles and military hardware.

It added that, in line with its national and religious principles, the Sudanese Armed Forces buried the militia’s dead according to Sudanese traditions and Islamic teachings — a practice it described as part of the army’s enduring values and ethics in dealing even with its enemies.

Meanwhile, the Joint Force confirmed it retains full control of El-Fasher airport, dismissing RSF claims of seizing the facility. In a statement, it stressed that all attempts to breach or destabilize the airport had failed, and affirmed that the army and the Joint Force remain fully prepared to repel any further attacks.
