Russia announced that it has identified Ukrainian drone instructors operating across the Sahel region and Central Africa. The Russian state news agency quoted Alexander Ivanov as saying: “In these countries, Ukrainian trainers work closely with local terrorist groups, supplying them with drones.”
Moscow confirmed that it has identified Ukrainian drone instructors active in Mali, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, and Chad. According to Ivanov, director of the International Security Officers’ Union, these trainers coordinate attacks against government forces.
He added that the instructors provide drones—including Mavic 3 drones equipped with Ukrainian-made systems—and training to local militias, while also helping plan assaults on government troops and allied forces.
