Berber – Al-Tijani Suleiman
The Executive Director of Berber locality, Hassan Ibrahim Karar, mourned the victims of a gold mine collapse in the Um Aud area, west of Berber in River Nile State.
Ibrahim confirmed that six people were killed in the incident, while up to 20 others remain trapped under the rubble. He added that rescue efforts are still underway, and some victims have already been buried in the Selim Al-Nimirab cemetery.
He expressed hope that ongoing search operations would lead to the recovery of survivors.
