The Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Minni Arko Manawi, announced the formation of a national committee tasked with ending the siege of El-Fasher.
Abdelaziz Arowi, advisor to the Darfur regional governor and a senior figure in the movement, said Manawi’s recent foreign tour, which concluded late last week, was part of a broader push to lift the blockade on the city.
Speaking to Al-Muhaqiq, Arowi confirmed that “there are extensive efforts on multiple fronts—military, humanitarian, legal, media, and international political—aimed at ending the siege of El-Fasher.”
He added that these efforts are being carried out under the newly established national committee, formed last week, in coordination between the Darfur regional government and the federal government.
