RSF Kills More Than 40 Civilians in El Fasher

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia killed over 40 civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, during raids on several neighborhoods of El Fasher on Monday and Tuesday.

In a statement, the Sudanese Doctors’ Syndicate said at least 18 civilians were shot dead by RSF fighters during incursions into a peripheral neighborhood of the city, while 14 others—including three girls—were abducted.

The group warned of the RSF’s pattern of killings and kidnappings against unarmed civilians inside residential areas and highlighted the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in El Fasher, where heavy clashes, artillery bombardment, and drone strikes have continued for a second consecutive day.

The statement stressed that RSF infiltration into northern neighborhoods and its campaign of killings and arbitrary arrests pose a direct threat to civilians and compound the humanitarian disaster. It urged the international community and humanitarian organizations to act urgently to protect civilians, secure safe access for medical and humanitarian aid, and stop the fighting inside residential areas.

Medical sources told Sudan Tribune that over 40 people were killed by RSF gunfire during house raids in the districts of Al-Nasrat, Al-Sharfa, and Qashlaq al-Jaish, as well as Abu Shouk neighborhood and Abu Shouk IDP camp.

Eyewitnesses reported that on Tuesday, the RSF forcibly displaced the entire population of Abu Shouk camp into El Fasher city after burning dozens of homes and destroying Neifasha market—the only functioning marketplace in El Fasher.
