Al-Burhan to Visit Djibouti

The government of Sudan continues its regular regional and international tours with the aim of briefing world leaders about the situation in the country and displaying the crimes of the rebel Rapid Support militia.
Identical sources revealed today, Saturday, an expected visit by the President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to Djibouti later this month, during which he will meet with Djiboutian President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh.
He is expected to be accompanied in the visit by the Director of the Intelligence Service, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of senior officials.
Djibouti assumed the rotating presidency of the African Peace and Security Council this month, according to a previous statement issued by the African Union Peace and Security Council.
IGAD – the Intergovernmental Authority on Development – had decided in April to send the presidents of Kenya- William Ruto, South Sudan-Salva Kiir, and Djibouti- Ismail Omer Guelleh, to Sudan to reconcile the government army and the rebel Rapid Support militia. The worsening conditions did not enable the three presidents to make the trip.
