
The Arab League said it is conducting intensive consultations with the United Nations and relevant international parties to resume Sudanese talks toward a humanitarian ceasefire and a comprehensive cessation of hostilities.
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit affirmed that Arab and international efforts are progressing in the right direction to quickly resolve the Sudanese crisis. He noted that the League continues to coordinate with international humanitarian organizations to support initiatives aimed at alleviating civilian suffering amid ongoing conflict.
Aboul Gheit emphasized that the consultations aim to establish common ground among Sudanese parties to achieve a temporary humanitarian truce and provide essential relief to affected civilians, stressing the importance of halting hostilities as soon as possible to prevent further escalation.
