
Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris on Tuesday attended the opening session of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York, convened under the theme: “Together for a Better Future: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development, and Human Rights.”
He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Khalid al-Ayser, Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador al-Harith Idris al-Harith, as well as several ambassadors and senior officials.
Prime Minister Idris is scheduled to deliver Sudan’s national address before the Assembly on Thursday, September 25, 2025, outlining the country’s current priorities and reaffirming its commitment to joint efforts for peace, development, and the promotion of human rights.
