The Sudanese army and allied forces on Friday recaptured the Um Sumaymah area in North Kordofan, inflicting heavy losses on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in both manpower and equipment.
The army secured the area and pursued RSF units to the outskirts of Al-Khowei in West Kordofan.
