Eyewitnesses reported Sunday that Tijani Kerashum, head of the civil administration in West Darfur, was injured, and three of his bodyguards were killed in an airstrike targeting the state government headquarters.
According to witnesses speaking to Darfur24, a drone carried out the attack on both the government compound and Kerashum’s vehicle, causing additional injuries.
The RSF, which controls the state, imposed a security cordon around the headquarters and prevented civilians from approaching the site.
