Human Rights Watch has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of committing “mass atrocities” and grave violations against civilians fleeing the city of El Fasher.
According to a report cited by Al Jazeera, the organization said dozens of verified videos circulating on social media show RSF fighters carrying out summary executions, brutally assaulting those trying to escape the city, abusing the wounded, and celebrating over the bodies of slain civilians and soldiers.
The organization warned that civilians are facing widespread crimes, including killings, rape, and looting, and cautioned against a surge in ethnically motivated violence and potential mass killings of the population.
