The Sudan Doctors Network reported a rapid wave of displacement from Bara locality in North Kordofan State towards El Obeid, driven by deteriorating security conditions and continued RSF violations against civilians.
Field reports indicate that more than 4,500 people have been displaced, including 1,900 who have already reached El Obeid, while others remain on the road under harsh conditions marked by acute shortages of food, water, and shelter.
According to medical sources, many of the displaced families arrived exhausted and malnourished, with numerous cases of diarrhea and malnutrition, particularly among children and the elderly. Hospitals in El Obeid are facing severe strain due to a shortage of medicines, medical supplies, and healthcare personnel.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemned what it described as forced displacement by the RSF in Bara, voicing deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis. The organization urged humanitarian agencies and local authorities to provide urgent assistance and called on the World Health Organization (WHO) and health partners to support medical facilities in El Obeid.
