Erdoğan: We Cannot Remain Silent on El Fasher Massacres

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Monday that Turkey cannot remain silent in the face of massacres committed against civilians in El Fasher, stressing the importance of protecting Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and independence.

Speaking at the opening session of the 41st Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) at the Istanbul Congress Center, Erdoğan declared: “No person with a living heart can accept the massacres committed against civilians in El Fasher, and we cannot remain silent in the face of them.”

He underscored the necessity of standing with the Sudanese people and preserving the country’s territorial integrity and independence.
