Fluctuations in Foreign Exchange Rates

Foreign exchange rates in the parallel (unofficial) market on Wednesday showed mixed trends. While most currencies maintained their recent sharp increases, the Egyptian pound recorded further gains.
Currency traders reported that the US dollar stabilized between SDG 3,650–3,700, while the Saudi riyal stood at SDG 973.33, the UAE dirham at SDG 994.55, and the euro at SDG 4,244.18.
The British pound was steady at SDG 4,866.66, the Egyptian pound rose to SDG 76.81, the Bahraini dinar was at SDG 9,605.26, the Qatari riyal at SDG 1,002.74, the Omani riyal at SDG 9,600, and the Kuwaiti dinar at SDG 11,774.19.
