The European Union, in Cairo, Egypt, convened a meeting of “like-minded heads of missions” to discuss the severe violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces in El Fasher and surrounding areas, and to coordinate international efforts to end the war and support Sudan’s stability.
The EU-led meeting emphasized the need to strengthen collective action to ensure Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity while expanding international pressure to stop civilian abuses.
Participating countries highlighted the importance of unhindered humanitarian access, removal of administrative obstacles that impede relief operations, and the protection of humanitarian workers and local responders.
