Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Badr Abdel Aaty met on Saturday with the French President’s Adviser for Middle East Affairs, Claire Le Gendre, on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum.
The meeting addressed the situation in Sudan, with Abdel Aaty briefing the French official on Egypt’s efforts within the Quadrilateral framework to achieve a ceasefire that would allow for the launch of an inclusive Sudanese political process. He reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position on safeguarding Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, rejecting partition and supporting state institutions.
He also underscored the need to unify regional and international efforts to advance de-escalation, secure a ceasefire, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
