Termination of Military Cooperation Agreement Between Somalia and the UAE as Abu Dhabi Begins Withdrawing Its Military Equipment

Sovereign sources in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, announced on Saturday the issuance of an official decision to terminate the military and security cooperation agreement with the United Arab Emirates. The decision includes the immediate commencement of the withdrawal of all Emirati military assets, officers, and logistical equipment from Somali territory, including bases located in Mogadishu, Bosaso, and Berbera.
