Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Al-Burhan, on Thursday paid a visit to the Federal Ministry of Health at its headquarters on Nile Street in Khartoum.
He commended the ministry’s staff and all medical personnel, praising their major role in what he described as the “Battle of Dignity” and their continued commitment to providing health services to citizens despite the challenges.
During the visit, Al-Burhan affirmed his commitment to providing full support to Sudan’s health sector, particularly in combating epidemics. He announced support for the Federal Vector Control Support Team through the provision of 15 pickup vehicles for field spraying operations, in addition to broader support for the ministry and health cadres. He also pledged further assistance to hospitals and specialized health services across the country.
Federal Minister of Health Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, in turn, expressed his appreciation to the Commander-in-Chief and Chairman of the Sovereignty Council for his attention to the health sector and the substantial support provided, presenting a comprehensive report on the current health situation in Sudan.
