Central Bank Resumes Operations from Khartoum

The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Amina Mirghani Hassan, announced on Tuesday the resumption of the bank’s operations from within Khartoum State.
Addressing employees, the governor said the return of the Central Bank signals the country’s entry into a phase of recovery and reconstruction. She praised the significant role played by the Central Bank in stabilizing the foundations of the state during the war, adding that the battle for reconstruction continues. She noted that the return of the Central Bank and the banking sector to Khartoum represents the restoration of life to the arteries of the national economy and stands as clear evidence of the transition from resilience to recovery. She pledged to exert every effort to support the path of development and reconstruction.
The governor also commended the sacrifices of the armed forces and supporting forces that made this return possible, and paid tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives for this victory.
It is worth noting that the Governor of the Central Bank led the convoy of returning employees to resume the bank’s operations from within Khartoum State.
