
On Sunday, Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris met on the sidelines of the Munich Conference with Johann Wadephul, Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for Germany’s contributions to humanitarian work through UN agencies and programs.
The Prime Minister also reviewed the developments in Sudan and outlined the government’s peace initiative, which reflects its commitment and desire to achieve a just and lasting peace that ends the war, restores citizens’ rights, fosters reconciliation, and lays the foundation for free and fair elections.
For his part, the German Foreign Minister emphasized his country’s concern for the situation in Sudan and its commitment to contributing to ending the war and achieving peace. Both sides expressed their hope to return to the prosperous relations of the past between the two countries and their peoples.
