Sudan’s Minister of Social Welfare, Moatasim Ahmed Saleh, on Monday accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of destroying a medical facility that provided treatment services to approximately half a million people in North Kordofan State.
In a Facebook post, Saleh strongly condemned what he described as the RSF’s targeting on Sunday morning of the model health insurance center in Al-Rahad locality, which serves more than 500,000 citizens.
He said the destruction of the facility—including its pharmacy, drug storage units, and specialist complex—constitutes a fully fledged crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
Saleh added that the attack reflects what he characterized as a continued pattern by the RSF of targeting civilians and sabotaging health and service facilities.
