The Federal Ministry of Health condemned the continued targeting of civilians by the Rapid Support Forces militia, affirming that these actions constitute a blatant violation of international norms and laws.
In a statement, the Ministry said the militia targeted Al-Jabalain Hospital in White Nile State using a drone, resulting in the death of 10 medical and administrative staff while performing their humanitarian duties. Among the victims was Dr. Hamid Suleiman, the hospital’s director, who was killed while performing surgery. Additionally, 22 civilians were injured.
The attack led to the complete destruction of the surgical complex buildings, as well as the emergency and accident departments.
The Ministry praised all medical staff at Al-Jabalain Hospital and other facilities, affirming that the “White Army” continues to fulfill its heroic role.
It also extended condolences for the victims among civilians and medical staff, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, and reiterating its strong condemnation of this aggressive act.
