Democratic Bloc Adopts Comprehensive Peace Process to Enable Civilian Transition

The Forces of Freedom and Change – Democratic Bloc alliance announced its adoption of a comprehensive peace process aimed at ending hate speech and laying the groundwork for state-building on foundations that would make a civilian transition possible.

In a statement, the bloc said its position calls for resolving the Sudanese crisis based on principles chosen and approved by the Sudanese people. It stressed the need for a comprehensive peace process that ends hate speech and establishes a new phase of state-building on foundations that enable a viable and achievable civilian transition, while taking into account the country’s composition and unique characteristics.

The bloc added that it has approved its political vision for the next phase in line with ongoing developments, placing at its forefront the affirmation of Sudan’s unity—both land and people—as a non-negotiable principle.

It emphasized that the unity of Sudan is the primary condition for building and creating opportunities for inclusive dialogue, as it represents the most important common ground uniting Sudanese people as a whole.
