Sudden Rise in Foreign Currency Exchange Rates

Foreign currencies recorded a sudden increase against the Sudanese pound in Friday’s parallel market trading, reversing the decline seen on Thursday.

Currency traders reported that the US dollar rose again to approximately 4,700 Sudanese pounds, compared to 4,400 pounds on Thursday. The UAE dirham climbed to 1,335 pounds, while the Saudi riyal reached 1,200 pounds.

The euro was traded at 5,232.558 pounds, while the British pound sterling reached 6,000 pounds. The Egyptian pound was quoted at 95,000 pounds, while the Bahraini dinar stood at 11,842.105 pounds. The Qatari riyal reached 1,229.50 pounds, the Omani riyal 11,900 pounds, and the Kuwaiti dinar 14,516.12 pounds.
