Army strikes RSF positions in Nyala

Sudan Event – Follow-ups

The Sudanese army Airforce planes in Nyala renewed strikes, Thursday, and fighter planes bombarded a number of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state.
Several Darfuri platforms circulated news that warplanes targeted the vicinity of the Western 16th Infantry Division Command and the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Nyala, which were controlled by the RSF after the fall of the 16th Infantry Division Command at their hands.
The sources added, “Part of the airport and Riyadh neighborhoods, which are considered the main residence for senior RSF officers, were hit, resulting in a number of casualties and injuries in the Al-Rahman, North Railway and Airport neighborhoods and Riyadh.”
The city of Nyala is witnessing fierce fighting between the Sudanese army and the RSF militia, which left a number of casualties among civilians and led to the displacement of most of the city’s residents to the states of North and East Darfur after a lull that lasted for more than a month.
