Kenyan President Calls for IGAD Decision Implementation

Kenyan President William Ruto said that he had a phone call today, Wednesday, with the President of South Sudan – Chairman of the East African Community, Salva Kiir Mayardit.
Ruto indicated that the conversation reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional issues.
He stressed “We must intensify our collective efforts towards fully implementing the decisions of the recent IGAD summit in Djibouti in order to achieve sustainable stability in Sudan,” adding that this is the right time for the people of Sudan to return to work.
